Árvore Seca
Two and a half years at Produtora Árvore Seca, 2019–2021 — the period that defined how I work as a sound engineer and producer in the Palmas scene. I came in as studio + live sound engineer and ended up co-founding a festival, running editais, and engineering a stack of records and music videos for local artists.
The work split across three fronts:
- Studio — recording, mixing, and mastering in the Árvore Seca room. The cycle ranged from full albums to quick music-video stems to festival multicam captures.
- Live — FOH and monitor engineering for the festival and venue circuit in Palmas. Long days in the Tocantins heat, often with hand-built stages.
- Production — co-creating the Festival Som na Árvore 2019, producing Seletiva Bem Ali, Verão Brabo, Wingfuzz Festival, and Som do Formigueiro, and capturing editais to fund all of it.
This is also when I became one of the engineers behind a lot of the Palmas scene that is now out in the world — most of the work I did there has local credits, not national ones, which is part of why it matters: it’s the scene that raised me as a professional, and it stays close.
