This Feminine Side

An animated documentary directed by Alice Siniscalchi and produced through RE:Anima and Lusófona Films. Set in Lisbon’s LGBTQ+ artistic scene, the film layers interviews, collaborative workshops, textures, and colour to explore femininity beyond the binary as something fluid and collectively reinvented.

I came on as Sound Director and handled the sound design and editing, with assistance from Miguel Colimão. The work had to hold together recorded voices, intimate gestures, and playful mixed-media animation without flattening the differences between them.

The 7:28 film was selected for the ITFS 2026 Student Competition in Stuttgart and for Zinegoak’s 2026 touring programme. It is one of the works that most clearly anchors my move from cinema-only sound into a broader audiovisual practice.
