Audiovisual Performance at Lusófona
A performance open to the public at Universidade Lusófona, in Lisbon, in 2023, built on live capture, cameras, a modular synthesizer and projection.
The visual input
The image starts from a CCTV camera system that I set up in the room. Its signal is processed in Hydra and projected onto screens and onto curtains hung in the room, so whoever stands in front of the cameras comes back on the projection, transformed in real time. The stills on this page come from the process videos: changing what the cameras see, and controlling how Hydra transforms it.
Signal chain
- Image: CCTV cameras, processed in Hydra.
- Sound: live capture, processed on a modular synthesizer.
- Instrument: the noise machine built by a student group in 2023.
- Output: projection on screens and curtains, through the speakers and projectors I set up in the room.
